The following Terms and Conditions of Service apply to all products and services provided by CAR COSMETICS.
All work is carried out by CAR COSMETICS on the understanding that the client has agreed to CAR COSMETICS’ terms and conditions.
Definitions
Upfront – more than 1 day prior to work commencing.
Prior – more than 1 day prior to work commencing.
Paint Code – a code that will provide information on the colour of vehicle. Information on this will be on your car (places to find this could be under bonnet, door jambs, inside boot or in service book) or by contacting the dealership.
Work Acceptance
At the time of acceptance of work to be carried out, CAR COSMETICS may request an upfront payment a minimum of £50 as deposit to secure your booking, this or written and/or actual repairs carried out will bind the client to accept CAR COSMETICS terms and conditions.
Useful Information
- Car Cosmetics will require safe space to work with their van next to the vehicle needing repairs.
- Car Cosmetics will require use of electricity, We have a 45 metre extensions cable.
- Car Cosmetics will require use of water.
- Paint code or name will be required prior to the date of work to be commenced.
- If a third person is paying for the repair costs. The full costs of the repair need to be paid to the owner of the vehicle or to Car Cosmetics prior to work commencing, unless other arrangements have been agreed where full details of the third party have been provided and clarified.
- Someone will need to be present on the day of the repairs been completed to check off the work and make full payment. If no one can be there on the day, full payment must be paid prior to the repairs starting.
Charges for Other Services
Charges for any additional services over and above the estimate or quotation, will become fully payable (100% of the quoted amount) at the time quotation acceptance.
Payment
The customer will be required to provided an email so Car Cosmetics can send an Invoice. All invoices are due for payment on the date the work is completed. The customer needs to be present at the location/ their home on the date of work to be commenced. Invoices which remain outstanding for 14 days after the date of invoice, will incur a charge of 5% and 5% per month thereafter of the full outstanding amount including prior charges.
Payments may be made by bank transfer, cash and Paypal (3% charge on invoice cost for use of Paypal).

All cheques should be payable to CAR COSMETICS.
Returned cheques will incur an additional fee of £50 per returned cheque. CAR COSMETICS reserves the right to consider an account to be in default in the event of a returned cheque.
Payment via Card through Paypal will incur a 3% charge.
Default
An account shall be considered default if it remains unpaid for 30 days from the date of invoice, or following a returned cheque.
CAR COSMETICS will not provide any further services until account is cleared. This, however, does not relieve the customer of its obligation to pay the due amount. Customers whose accounts become default agree to pay CAR COSMETICS reasonable legal expenses and third party collection agency fees in the enforcement of these Terms and Conditions.
Alterations
The customer agrees that changes required over and above the quoted work or required to be carried out after acceptance of the quotation will be liable to a separate charge.
The customer also agrees that CAR COSMETICS holds no responsibility for any amendments made by any third party, before or after a quotation is published.
Work Duration
Any indication given by CAR COSMETICS of a work’s duration is to be considered by the customer to be an estimation. CAR COSMETICS cannot be held responsible for any project over-runs, whatever the cause.
Work Completion
CAR COSMETICS considers the work complete upon receipt of payment. All repairs and materials used will then be the ownership of the client. And will be classed as an acceptance of satisfaction by the client of all works carried out.
Cancellation
Cancellation of quotations or work booked in must be made by whatsapp, text message or e-mail, you must give a minimum of 72 hours notice prior to the booking date to CAR COSMETICS. The £50 deposit will not be refunded if this is not followed.
Any costs that CAR COSMETICS may have incurred within this time will be fully chargeable, including costs of parts pre-ordered and materials or paints bought for your vehicle.
Payment of the refund will take between 5 to 10 working days.
Storage
If the vehicle not collected or parts have had to be held because of delays from the customer, or arrangements are not made for its collection after completion of the work has been notified in writing, weekly storage charges at the rate applicable at the time of expiry of the said notice may be imposed as if the vehicle repaired had been left for storage. This provision may also apply if authority to proceed is not given or parts not provide as prior arranged within a reasonable time of an estimate having been submitted. Storage charges (£250 within first week, £40 for every day thereafter).
Lien
CAR COSMETICS reserves the right to hold a vehicle after the completion of its repairs until such time as the account is paid in full.
With respect to uncollected vehicles, CAR COSMETICS may exercise its rights under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 and if the goods are not collected when the work is completed, or before any notice to this effect expires, CAR COSMETICS may proceed to sell the vehicle subject to any notice under the Act.
In this event, the vehicle will be sold at best market price and after deduction of the cost of repair, plus other charges and expenses incurred by CAR COSMETICS, the balance will be returned.
If instructions are not received from a customer (in response to an estimate rendered) within 28 days, CAR COSMETICS may invoice for reasonable storage charges from the date that the vehicle was received until its collection. Storage charges (£250 within first week, £40 for every day thereafter).
CAR COSMETICS may refuse to carry out all, or part of any work for any reason whether or not an estimate has been provided.
Disclaimer
CAR COSMETICS reserves the right to use the services of sub-contractors, agents and suppliers and any work, content, services and usage is bound by their Terms and Conditions. CAR COSMETICS will not knowingly perform any actions to contravene these and the client also agrees to be so bound.
General
These Terms and Conditions supersede any previous Terms and Conditions distributed in any form. CAR COSMETICS reserves the right to change any rates and any of the Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions and Quotation
The payment of the deposit/written authorisation for services offered by CAR COSMETICS, is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions, which are freely available on request.
